Joy of the Lens


Founded in 2010, Joy of the Lens is an annual juried photography exhibit which features original photographs by year-round Maine residents, both amateur and professional.  Categories are as follows: Color, Black & White, and Nancy’s Challenge (theme: Reflections).  This signature event is co-sponsored with the Topsham Public Library and it’s Board of Trustees and is run by a committee of volunteers and chaired by our volunteer Gallery Coordinator, Connie Bailey.


Come enjoy the exhibit in the Crooker Gallery from April 4-May 6, 2017.  Visitors to the exhibit will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite work for the People’s Choice Award, to be presented during the Photographer’s Talk.

  • Saturday, February 25, 2017: Registration begins
  • Saturday, March 25, 2017, by 4pm: Registration deadline extended *REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED
  • Saturday, April 8, 2017, 1-3pm: Reception and award ceremony.  Refreshments will be served and prizes will be awarded in the categories listed above.
  • Saturday, May 6, 2017, 11am: Photographer’s Talk, People’s Choice Award, and Friend’s Photo Lottery
