Used Book Sale – We look forward to seeing you next year

Friday, September 13, 2024: 5pm-7pm – Member Appreciation Night (Memberships available at the door)

Saturday, September 14, 2024: 9am-4pm

Sunday, September 15, 2024: 10am-2pm

Classic.  Popular.  Mystery.  Non-Fiction.  Children’s.  Young Adult.  Nature.  Crafts.  You name it, we’ve got it and you can get them all at can’t-be-beat prices!                   

The Friends’ annual book sale is highly anticipated and is the single most important fundraiser for our organization.  Proceeds from the book sale go directly toward library programming.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

• Donate!  You may drop off your donations at the book shed (to the right of the library).   We have installed a book drop where you may drop off your unboxed donations (up to two boxes). If you have more than two boxes or are unable to drop them off, please contact us at friends@friendstopshamlibrary.org to make arrangements. We happily accept donations of gently used books, CDs, and DVDs. 
• Volunteer!  We are always in need of volunteers to help sort books as they come in, to help with pre-sale set up, to man the sale and assist patrons, and to help with end of sale clean up. Contact us at friends@friendstopshamlibrary.org if you are interested in helping out.

We cannot accept:
Magazines
Condensed books-i.e. Readers Digest
VHS or Cassette tapes
Textbooks
Dictionary
Encyclopedias
Old medical books
Old law books
Advanced Proofs

We cannot accept damaged items:
missing or torn covers
missing pages
dirty
water-stained
musty or smoky smelling

Please bring these items or others that we cannot accept directly to the Solid Waste Facility off Foreside Road for proper recycling.
